About Miss Lindsey:
My name is Lindsey Borders and I am a 2010 graduate of University of Missouri. I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences, and studied Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis on Infancy, Early & Middle Childhood. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED through the Red Cross.
I have always enjoyed caring for young children. Since 2007, I have worked in several preschools, and I also have two years of experience in working with children who have special needs. Currently, in addition to my morning playgroups, I give weekly horse-back riding lessons to children of all ages.
I started Next-Door Discoveries in Spring of 2012 as a very small playgroup program consisting of four families... and it certainly has grown! There are now dozens of families participating in Next-Door Discoveries each week and over fifteen families who sub in on occasion. I have been so lucky to get to know so many fantastic families and to watch so many kiddos grow!
My personal philosophy is based on respecting each child for the unique, individual person they are, and I look forward to fostering the person your child already is and will become!
